What do you get in the one hour initial consultation?
During the fixed fee meeting, one of our experienced family lawyers can advise you in person providing you with the individual attention of a qualified professional which is so important, especially at the outset of the case. We can often answer many of your concerns and worries and help you make decisions for the future in respect of the particular issues you face whether they be related to finances, children, divorce, separation, contact, violence, to name only a few examples.
This consultation can assist greatly in narrowing issues and formulating a way forward, often giving you a much needed focus and plan for the way forward, providing peace of mind at a very difficult time. Matters are always dealt with in a caring, sympathetic and professional manner. There is no pressure for you to sign up for any further work, which may or may not be necessary and many people need only a consultation to consider their options without any worries or concerns.
We also have a number of information leaflets providing advice regarding all areas of family law and of support services in the local area which we can provide you with and can advise as to how to proceed or where else you can go to access relevant information. We may also be able to suggest one of our fixed fee packages and give you an estimate of what your case is likely to cost. Often basic advice and signposting is sufficient to enable you to resolve matters yourself.
